Strongcast ball valves can be locked in "ON" and "OFF" positions with the use of a unique tamper-proof key. This allows utilities to lock valves in set positions to reduce theft of water and meters. The key also allows an authorised field technician to operate the valve even if a resident has locked the valve with a padlock.
